Speaking
Talks on positioning, pricing, and the cost of being unclear.
I speak to founders, executive teams, and design and business communities about positioning — why clarity, not volume, decides what a company can charge. Talks are built for the room and the outcome, not delivered from a shelf.
Five talks
Each one is a diagnosis, not a topic.
Every talk is rebuilt for the room — the stage, the audience’s stage of growth, and the outcome the organiser is actually buying.
The room leaves with:
- How to tell a distribution problem from a positioning problem in one test
- The three symptoms companies misread as a marketing failure
- What to stop spending on until the position is settled
The room leaves with:
- Why buyers read price as a claim about quality, not a cost
- The specific things that must be true before a price rise holds
- How to raise a rate without resetting the pipeline
The room leaves with:
- Why every addition to an offer lowers what the market will pay for it
- What to remove first, and how to know it worked
- The quarter that feels like shrinking, and how to survive it
The room leaves with:
- The difference between a niche and a category
- How to name the terms competitors are then forced to answer
- What a category costs to hold, and when not to attempt one
The room leaves with:
- Where brand decisions actually get made inside a company
- The four phases of a positioning system, and who owns each
- How to keep a position alive through a leadership change
Formats
Four ways to run it.
International engagements are quoted inclusive of travel and accommodation. A small number of unpaid stages are taken each year where the audience is right — say so in the form.
